Lenovo-owned Motorola has confirmed through its Weibo account that it will be holding a launch event on Aug. 15. The launch poster that features a big-sized number 5 hints that the Moto Z3 that supports a 5G Moto Mod may get announced in the coming week.
Motorola Moto Z3 was launched in the previous in the U.S. The handset carries support for 5G Moto Mod which also includes 2,000mAh battery pack. Sadly, the Moto Mod will be only available for buying in the coming year when 5G networks will become available. The Moto Z3 is equipped with a 6-inch Super AMOLED display that supports 18:9 aspect ratio and Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Even though the rumor mill had speculated that the Z3 could be equipped with SD845, the handset features SD835. The SoC is supported by 4 GB of RAM. It has a native storage of 64 GB and it has a microSD card slot for additional storage.
The 12-megapixel dual camera setup resides on the back panel of the Moto Z3. An 8-megapixel front camera is present on the smartphone. It is loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo. It receives power from 3,000mAh battery.
It is speculated that apart from Moto Z3, the company may launch other smartphones such as Moto Z3 Play, Moto E5 Plus, Motorola One and One Power smartphones in the coming week since they were certified by TENAA in the recent past.
