Honor has recently confirmed that it will be holding a launch event on Nov. 23 in China. The Chinese manufacturer is expected to announce multiple devices, such as the Magic UI 7.0, the Honor 80 series, and the Honor Magic Vs foldable phone. In a new leak on Weibo, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has talked about a mysterious Honor phone with a 160-megapixel camera. This device is also expected to break cover on Nov. 23. He could be probably talking about the Honor 80 Pro+.
According to the tipster, one of the upcoming Honor phones has a 50-megapixel dual front-facing camera setup. The back panel of the device features a 160-megapixel primary camera.
In the comments of the Weibo post, the tipper seems to have said that it is a customized version of a 200-megapixel camera. It is unclear whether the tipster is talking about the Honor 80 Pro+ device, which is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, or another smartphone.
Rumors have it that the Honor 80 will come equipped with the Dimensity 1080 chipset and a 64-megapixel primary camera. The Honor 80 Pro is likely to arrive with the Snapdragon 778G chipset and a 108-megapixel main camera.
The Magic Vs foldable is also said to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The Honor 80 Pro+ is expected to support 100W charging, whereas the Magic Vs, Honor 80, and Honor 80 Pro are likely to offer 66W fast charging.
Previously, the rumor mill had called the Magic Vs as the Magic V2. It appears that the Magic V2 featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be announced next year.
