Nubia is gearing up to launch its first Red Magic smartphone of the year. The company is yet to confirm whether its upcoming gaming phone will be called Red Magic 4 or Red Magic 5, but it has been teasing on its features. Today, Nubia co-founder and president Ni Fei took to Weibo to reveal that the Red Magic phone will support 144Hz refresh rate.
As it can be seen in the image shared by Fei, users will be able to switch between refresh rate options such as 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz and 144Hz on the next Red Magic smartphone. Many smartphone makers are gearing up to launch phones with 120Hz refresh rate. However, Nubia is set to raise the competition bar higher with a 144Hz refresh rate on its next gaming phone. Apart from smoother scrolling experience, users will be able to experience enhanced gaming experience on the upcoming Red Magic phone.
Earlier this month, Fei had revealed that the next Red Magic smartphone is equipped with triple rear cameras. Nubia has confirmed that the smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 865 mobile platform that will bring support for dual-mode 5G. It is speculated the model number of the next Red Magic phone is NX651J. The other details of the phone are currently under the wraps.
There is no word on the launch date of the smartphone. ZTE that is the parent brand of Nubia is gearing up to launch the Axon 10s Pro 5G powered by Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. There is a possibility that the gaming phone may debut after the Axon 10s Pro 5G.
