On the Day 1 of 2020, Nubia confirmed that it teased the arrival of a new Nubia phone powered by the Snapdragon 865. It will be arriving as the successor for the Red Magic 3 and Red Magic 3s phones from last year. However, there is no confirmation on whether it will be called Red Magic 4, or the company will skip the number 4 and launch it as Red Magic 5. It appears that the arrival of the smartphone could be close at hand as the company has released a photo that was captured using the mysterious phone. The image confirms that the phone will be sporting triple rear cameras.
Unfortunately, nothing else is known on the specification of the next Red Magic smartphone. However, since it will be powered by Snapdragon 865, it will be the first ever 5G-ready gaming phone to arrive with support for SA (Standalone) and NSA (Non-Standalone) dual-mode 5G networks. The phone is expected to go as early as next month. Probably, this month will see the parent firm ZTE to launch the Snapdragon 865 powered Axon 10s Pro.
The next Nubia gaming phone is also rumored to arrive in India. The country is not 5G-ready yet. So, it will be treated with the 4G LTE variant of the smartphone.
The Red Magic 4/5 smartphone will be facing competition from Xiaomi’s Black Shark 3 smartphone. It will be also powered by Snapdragon 865 mobile platform and is likely to arrive with 5G support.
