Nokia 3, Nokia 5 & the Classic Nokia 3310 Rumored as Coming at MWC 2017

Latest rumor surrounding the Nokia launch event scheduled to hold at MWC 2017 indicates that HMD Global is planning to release more than one smartphone on that day. Already, Nokia is rumored as planning to launch the Nokia 8 or P1 flagship at the launch event but lately, the company is said to be planning to release a set of budget smartphones as well as a feature phone at MWC.

According to an unnamed source, the budget smartphone is the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 while the HMD Global controlled outfit is said to be planning to release a touched up version of the classic Nokia 3310 feature phone. The Nokia 3310 is one of Nokia’s most popular phone when it hit the market around 2000. The phone is well known for its rugged, tough build, as well as durable and long lasting battery.

The Nokia 5 is said to be a downgraded version of the Nokia 6 which is currently selling in China. The Nokia 5 is said to come running Android 7.0 Nougat and would feature similar Snapdragon 430 chip as its similarity with the Nokia 6. The device will then pack a 5.2-inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM and a 12MP primary sensor. The Nokia 3 is said to have entry level specs and thus will be cheaper than its siblings.

The source further hinted that Nokia is planning to introduce the Nokia 6 to the European market at Barcelona and it would be unveiled alongside the others. The launch of the Nokia 6 is said to not only target the European market but the company also has plans to roll it out into other markets like North America.
