Nokia 8.1 with 6 GB RAM May Debut at January End

In October, HMD Global had debuted the Nokia X7 smartphone in China. The same phone was unveiled as Nokia 8.1 through an unveil event in Dubai for the international market. Since the launch, the Nokia 8.1 has been available in 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage edition. Recent reports had claimed that the higher version of the phone may debut soon. Fresh information shared by Nokia Power User reveals that the high version of the Nokia 8.1 will go official by January end or early February.

The publication has claimed that the Finnish firm is ready 6 GB RAM edition of the Nokia 8.1 for launch in India. The model is expected to arrive with 128 GB of storage. The handset is expected to be priced at Rs. 28,999 ($409) or Rs. 29,999 ($424). There is no confirmation on when the high edition of the Nokia 8.1 will be made available in markets outside of India.

The Nokia 8.1 is fitted with a 6.18-inch IPS LCD notched display which produces full HD+ resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels. The Snapdragon 710 chipset is the driving force of the smartphone. The ZEISS certified 12-megapixel + 13-megapixel dual camera setup on its rear. For capturing selfies, it has a 20-megapixel selfie snapper. It receives power from 3,500mAh battery. The 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage edition of the Nokia 8.1 is available in India for Rs. 26,999 ($381).
