Nokia C2 Android Go Phone Unveiled; Specifications and Price

The Nokia C2 phone has debuted discreetly as the successor of the Nokia C1 phone from 2019. Like the predecessor model, it is Android GO phone that comes with entry-level specs. The Nokia C1 was a 3G phone. Its successor has arrived with 4G support.

The Nokia C2 features a removable polycarbonate rear. This makes it possible to easily replace the battery of the Nokia C2. The smartphone has 154.8 x 75.59 x 8.85mm dimensions and it weighs 161 grams.

The Android 9 Pie in its Android Go version runs on the Nokia C2 smartphone. The phone comes in dual SIM and single SIM versions. There is a dedicated button for summoning the Google Assistant.

The Nokia C2 has a 5.71-inch IPS LCD display that produces HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. This resolution allows the phone to support 18:9 aspect ratio like the predecessor model.

The modest Unisoc quad-core processor that clocks at 1.4GHz powers the device along with 1 GB of RAM. It has a native storage of 16 GB and there is a dedicated microSD card slot onboard for more storage. The phone is backed by a 2,800mAh battery.

The Nokia C2 has a front-facing camera of 5-megapixel. The rear shell of the phone has an f/2.0 aperture 5-megapixel camera with LED flash. The handset lacks a fingerprint sensor. The modest phone offers connectivity features like dual SIM support, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, microUSB and 3.5mm audio jack.

HMD Global is yet to confirm on the pricing and availability of the Nokia C2 smartphone. Cyan and Black are the two color editions of the smartphone.
