Nokia Phone with Penta-Lens Could be in Works

Nokia 808 PureView smartphone had surprised the tech world with its 41-megapixel rear camera. It seems that we may see a Nokia phone with extraordinary photography capabilities as a Foxconn employee has allegedly leaked information on a Nokia prototype featuring penta-lens.

As it can be seen in the above image, the 5-lens system is not arranged in a circular manner. Rather the sides of the camera setup include three camera sensors, a LED flash, another camera sensor and an unknown sensor. Another camera sensor can be seen in at the center of the camera setup. It seems to be an interesting camera system, but there is no confirmation on when it will be available on a commercial device. This reminds us of the triple-camera system that is speculated to arrive on the Huawei P11 smartphone along with 5x hybrid zoom.

The mysterious Nokia phone feature penta-lens setup seems to be housing an 18:9 aspect ratio display and its rear panel is rumored to be made out of glass. The fingerprint scanner could be placed below the rear camera system. The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 tech trade fair will be held in the next month. Couple of new Nokia phones such as Nokia 9, Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 7, Nokia 3310 4G and more are expected to get showcased at the event.
