The Nokia X5 was scheduled to debut in the last week. However, HMD Global had to cancel the unveiling because of some problems associated with the launch venue. The Finnish firm is yet to confirm on the new launch date for the smartphone. Citing an unknown source, GizChina has reported that the Nokia X5 may debut on July 17.
The entire specs of the smartphone have been revealed through recent leaks and TENAA listing. The Nokia X5 is expected to house a 5.86-inch IPS LCD notched display that supports 19:9 aspect ratio and Full HD+ resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. A mid-range SoC is expected to power the phone. Recent reports have claimed that the handset could be fueled by MediaTek Helio P60 SoC.
The base model of the Nokia X5 is expected to feature 3 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 32 GB. The 4 GB RAM edition of the phone is likely to come with 64 GB of storage. These variants are rumored to be respectively priced at 799 Yuan and 999 Yuan. Rumors have claimed that it could be also available in a higher variant featuring 6 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 64 GB. For photography, it is rumored to feature 13-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Outside of China, the Nokia X5 is expected to be available as Nokia 5.1 Plus.
