Nubia Play 5G is an upcoming series of smartphones aimed towards the youth. The Chinese brand will be holding a launch event on April 21 to announce the first Nubia Play 5G smartphone. Ahead of the launch, the company is busy teasing on the features of the Nubia Play phone.
Nubia has revealed that the Nubia Play 5G is equipped with a quad camera setup on its back. The main lens in the setup is the 48-megapixel lens by Sony. It seems to be the Sony IMX586 sensor. Earlier today, the company had revealed through a teaser poster that the phone has a vertical camera setup placed in the top-half of its back panel.
Shown above is some of the camera samples that were snapped using the new Nubia Play 5G handset. Following is a selfie sample taken using the 12-megapixel camera of the smartphone.
The company has already revealed that the Nubia Play 5G is equipped with a massive battery of 5,100mAh capacity. Nubia confirmed that the phone supports 30W fast charging with USB-PD. The phone is also quipped with support for Quick Charge 4.0.
The Nubia Play 5G seems to be the NX651J 5G phone that was approved by the 3C authority of China in March with a 30W charger. Since it supports Quick Charge 4.0, it appears that the Nubia Play 5G is driven by a Qualcomm chipset. The Snapdragon 765 / 765G is the only other Qualcomm chip to support 5G connectivity apart from the flagship Snapdragon 865. Hence, it appears the Nubia Play 5G mid-ranger could be driven by the SD765G processor.
