Nubia Play 5G to Debut on April 21

Nubia, the sub-brand of ZTE has recently launched the Red Magic 5G phone. The Chinese firm has recently confirmed the global availability of the gaming phone. Today, the company took to Weibo to announce a new series of smartphones called Nubia Play. The first product in the Nubia Play series will be unveiled on April 21.

The poster released by the Chinese firm confirms the April 21 launch date and 19:00 PM (local time) timing for the arrival of the first Nubia Play phone. There is no information available on the specifications of the smartphone.

The 5G logo besides the Nubia Play brand name reveals that it will come with 5G support. The Play series from Nubia could be targeted towards like other Play moniker phones from other Chinese brands. The Nubia Play 5G phone is expected to bring 5G capabilities at a cheaper price.

In March, a mysterious Nubia phone that has a model number of NX651J had received 3C authority of China. The 3C appearance had revealed that it is a 5G phone that may ship with a 30W fast charger. At that time, it was speculated that the NX651J could be the upcoming Nubia Z30 phone. However, it now seems that the NX651J could be the first Nubia Play 5G phone from the company.

In related news, the Nubia Red Magic 5G has landed in overseas markets in two models such as 8 GB RAM + 128 Gb storage in Hot Rod Red and Eclipse Black colors and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage edition in Pulse Neon color.
