The Nubia Red Magic 3S gaming smartphone has gone official in China. It is the enhanced version of the Red Magic 3 gaming phone that had gone official few months ago. The most unique feature of the Magic 3S compared to the Red Magic 3 is that it comes with the more powerful Snapdragon 855+ mobile platform.
Nubia Red Magic 3S Specifications and Features
The Red Magic 3S has a 6.65-inch AMOLED notch-less display with slim bezels. The full HD+ resolution supporting screen offers 90Hz refresh rate and it carries support for DC dimming. The SD855+ chipset powers the smartphone with up to 12 GB of RAM. The phone offers user with up to 256 GB of UFS 3.0 storage.
The Red Magic 3S has a single rear camera of Sony IMX586 48-megapixel. It offers slow-motion video shooting at 1920fps and it can also capture 8K videos. It has a front-facing camera of 16-megapixel. The 5,000mAh battery of Red Magic 3S is coupled with 27W USB PD fast charging. The RedMagic OS 2.1 UI based Android 9 Pie OS runs on the device. There is a centrifugal fan with air and water cooling through copper tubes for heat dissipation inside the device. There are shoulder buttons for enhanced gaming experience. The rear-mounted fingerprint sensor can be also configured to use a gameplay function.
Red Magic 3S Price and Release Date
The 8 GB RAM +128 GB storage model carries a price tag of 2,999 Yuan ($420). It can be bought in Silver Storm color only. The higher variant with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage comes in Red and Blue colors. It is priced at 3,799 Yuan ($530). It will go on sale on Sept. 9 in China
