Nubia will be soon launching its first gaming smartphone with 5G support in China. The company is yet to reveal the actual name of the device. However, with teasers coming up for the phone from the day 1 of this year, it appears that its launch may not be far away. The upcoming Red Magic 5G gaming phone with model number NX659J has now received approval from the 3C authority of China which indicates that its arrival is now close at hand.
The 3C certification of the Nubia NX659J has revealed that is a 5G smartphone. Also, it could be shipping with a charger that supports up to 55W fast charging. It is likely that the smartphone will soon appear on TENAA with its entire specifications in the near future. Probably, the phone will go official within the first quarter of 2020.
The predecessor Nubia Red Magic 3s smartphone had come with a 5,000mAh battery. There is a possibility that the company may use the same battery to power the upcoming Red Magic 5G phone. The device is most likely to be equipped with the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform that will bring support for dual-mode 5G.
The Red Magic 5G phone will be fitted with triple rear cameras. The display of the phone will support up to 144Hz refresh rate. The other details of the phone are currently under the wraps.
The upcoming Nubia gaming phone is expected to receive good competition from gaming smartphones from other brands. It is speculated Black Shark 3 and Vivo iQOO 3 will also break cover in the first quarter of 2020.
