Yesterday, Nubia held a launch event to announce the Nubia Z30 Pro flagship. The handset was made official as a rebranded version of the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra. Today, its gaming sub-brand called Red Magic confirmed through a Weibo post that it will be announcing the Red Magic 6R smartphone at 3 PM (local time) on May 27th in the Chinese market.
The company is yet to reveal any information on the specs of the Red Magic 6R. Earlier this month, a Nubia phone with an NX666J model number was spotted at the Bluetooth SIG authority with the Red Magic 6R moniker. This phone had also appeared with key specifications at Chinese certifications sites such as TENAA and 3C.
Red Magic 6R Specifications (Expected)
The Red Magic 6R is expected to feature a 6.67-inch OLED screen that delivers a Full HD+ resolution. It is speculated that this device is powered by the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform.
The handset may ship with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage in China. It has a rated battery of 4,100mAh capacity. The 3C listing of the phone revealed that it could be coming to China with a 55W charger. In comparison, the Red Magic 6 and Red Magic 6 Pro smartphones, which debuted in March came with support for 66W and 120W fast charging, respectively.
The Red Magic 6R has a selfie camera of 16-megapixel. Its rear shell has a 64-megapixel primary camera. The handset has 163.05 x 75.34 x 8.2mm dimensions and weighs 186.4 grams.
The Red Magic 6 series debuted with a pricing of 3,799 Yuan ($590). Probably, the Red Magic 6R may arrive with a starting price of 3,299 Yuan ($513).
