After launching the Honor X40 back in September last month, Honor is now back with a higher-end model dubbed as the Honor X40 GT that comes with a better display and processing unit.
The new Honor X40 GT builds around a 6.81” IPS LCD display offering a FHD+ screen resolution along with an ultra-fast 144Hz refresh rate that promises a smooth gaming experience. To help with selfies and video calls, it also gets a 16 megapixels front-facing camera that sits within a punch-hole cutout compartment.
Over at the back, the Honor X40 GT also boasts a large circular module which houses a triple rear camera system comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera as well as a pair of 2 megapixels cameras to help with macro and depth information.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 888 chipset which is a significant upgrade over the Snapdragon 695 platform that was used on the vanilla model. This will be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department.
To keep it’s lights on, the Honor X40 GT is also backed by a respectable 4,800mAh battery which carries support for 66W fast wired charging. As usual, the phone will be shipped with a custom Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12 OS.
Those who’re interested can pick the phone from three different colorways such as Black, Silver as well as Racing Black. Pricing for the device will start from just 2,099 Yuan ($290) for the 8GB+256GB trim and goes up to 2,399 Yuan ($332) for the top-of-the-line model with 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage.
