At the beginning of the year, we’d heard that HTC will be launching a new smartphone later this year. Now, the company has finally confirmed that it will be holding an official launch event on June 28th where it’s expected to unveil it’s brand new Viverse smartphone.
Although the company hasn’t reveal any bit of information pertaining, speculations were rife that the upcoming HTC Viverse will be a metaverse-centered smartphone that focuses heavily on VR and AR technology. That wouldn’t came much as a surprise considering that the company had long set it’s foot in the VR market with the launch it’s Vive-branded VR headsets.
Also, the HTC Viverse could also mark the company’s return into the high-end market after focusing mainly on budget-centric smartphones such as the Wildfire E2 Plus over the past couple of years.
