Previously, there were reports suggesting that OnePlus would be launching a new mid-range model known as the OnePlus Nord CE 2 this month. Indeed, the company has officially confirmed that it will be launching this device on February 17th later this month in the Indian market.
Apart from the launch date itself, OnePlus didn’t mention much information pertaining to it’s hardware specs, other than revealing it’s support for 65W fast wired charging which the company claimed is able to charge up to one day’s power in just 15 minutes.
Nonetheless, we did heard from rumors that the OnePlus Nord CE 2 might be coming with a 6.4” AMOLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution along with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate.
In the imaging front, the phone is expected to sport a triple-cam setup that includes a 64 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide unit, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera for close-up shots.
Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord 2 CE is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset which is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB built-in storage which supports further expansion via a microSD card. On top of that, the phone is also said to be backed by a 4,500mAh battery.
