After all the leaks and rumors, OPPO has finally announced the new OPPO A58 5G smartphone which arrives as a successor to the April-announced A57 5G smartphone. The latest model comes with a brand new design language as well as several noteworthy upgrades over it’s predecessor.
OPPO A58 5G Specifications
The OPPO A58 5G features a 6.56” LCD display which supports a HD+ screen resolution along with a fast 90Hz refresh rate. To help with selfies and video calls, the phone also has an 8 megapixels front-facing camera that sits within a waterdrop-notch.
Over at the back, there’s a dual-ring camera housing which is home to a pair of cameras comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensing unit for portrait shots.
Under the hood, the OPPO A58 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset which will be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage which is expandable via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. Other than that, there’s also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired earphones.

For those who’re interested, the OPPO A58 5G is available in a trio of colors such as Black, Purple and Blue. Pricing for the phone will be set at just 1,699 Yuan ($234) for the 8GB+256GB trim in the Chinese market.
