We have been hearing quite a fair bit about the upcoming POCO X4 Pro 5G smartphone recently, and now the company has finally announced that the phone will be officially unveiled on February 28th next week.
Along with the POCO X4 Pro 5G, POCO will also be launching another device known as the POCO M4 Pro 4G which isn’t exactly a new model as it’s expected to share largely identical specs as the already announced POCO M4 Pro 5G (Review) except for perhaps the difference in it’s underlying chipset.
Coming back to the POCO X4 Pro 5G, a recent leak from reputable leaker Evan Blass had revealed the front and rear design of the phone entirely through a series of official-looking renders.
The renders confirmed that the POCO X4 Pro 5G would be coming with a waterdrop-notch display that’s accompanied by some fairly slim bezels along the sides. The display itself is expected to be a FHD+ AMOLED DotDisplay with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate which is definitely a sweet upgrade over the LCD panel used on the POCO X3 Pro.
On the flipside, that’s where things are a bit more interesting as the phone appears to feature a sizeable rectangular camera module that sits horizontally in the upper-halve of it’s backplate. It’s also obvious that the phone will be equipped with a triple-cam system which will reportedly be lead by a 108 megapixels main camera along with possibly an 8 megapixels ultra-wide and 2 megapixels macro unit.
As for the rest of it’s hardware specs, past reports had also revealed that the device would be fitted with a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast changing support. These specifications kind of hint that the POCO X4 Pro 5G might well be a rebranded model of the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G (Review) except for some changes to it’s exterior design. If that’s the case, then we can expect the phone to be powered by the same Snapdragon 695 chipset under the hood as well.
