Time Travel: Redmi K50 CAD Renders Emerge Ahead of Rumored Launch in March

Redmi K50G (aka Redmi K50 Gaming Edition) was recently announced as the first of the K50 series smartphones. Rumors have it that the lineup will include three models such as Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, and Redmi K50 Pro+. Today, reliable tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer teamed up with publication Zoutons to share the CAD renders of the upcoming Redmi K50. The new images give gives a good look at the design of the vanilla model from all sides. The Redmi K50 Pro and K50 Pro+ are expected to carry the same design language.

Redmi K50 Design

As can be seen in the CAD renders, the Redmi K50’s display features a centrally positioned punch-hole. Except for the slightly thick chin, the other bezels of the smartphone are quite thin. The camera island available on the rear shell of the device has three cameras arranged in a triangular manner. Below it is a dual-LED flash unit.

The leak reveals that the Redmi K50 measures 163.2 x 76.2 x 8.7mm. The thickness of the device increases to 11.4mm at the camera bump. It is likely to feature a 6.6-inch display.

It is believed that the 22021211RC handset that was approved by China’s 3C authority might debut as the Redmi K50. The handset was seen with a 67W fast charger at the 3C certification. Rumors are rife that the Redmi K50 will be equipped with the Dimensity 8000 chipset. The other specs of the smartphone are under the wraps.

Redmi is yet to tease the other arrival of K50, K50 Pro, and K50 Pro+. It is speculated that the company will be holding a launch event in March to unveil the remaining K50 models. The K50 Pro and K50 Pro+ are rumored to feature the Snapdragon 870 and Dimensity 9000, respectively.
