Xiaomi has officially unveiled the new Redmi Note 12 Turbo smartphone in the Chinese market. This is in fact the sixth member in the Redmi Note 12 series lineup which also consist of the Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+.
Right off the bat, the new Redmi Note 12 Turbo builds around a 6.67” OLED display which produces a sharp FHD+ screen resolution and a fast 120Hz refresh rate. To help with selfies and video calls, the phone also has a 16 megapixels front-facing camera housed within a centered punch-hole cutout.
Over on the rear side, there’s a triple-cam setup comprising of a 64 megapixels main camera along with an 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera and a 2 megapixels macro unit for close-up photography.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo is powered by the newly announced Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset. This will be paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB onboard storage in the memory department.
Keeping it’s lights on will be a respectable 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 67W fast wired charging. As usual, the phone will be shipped with MIUI 14 based on Android 13 OS out of the box.
Those who’re interested can pick the phone from three different colorways such as Black, Blue and Silver. Pricing for the Redmi Note 12 Turbo starts from just 1,999 Yuan ($290) for the 8GB+256GB trim and goes up to 2,599 Yuan ($378) for the top-of-the-line model with 16GB+512GB configuration.
