Chinese electronics giant TCL has announced a new entry-level smartphone dubbed as the TCL 408 in the Russian market. This came a month after the company announced the TCL 405 in November which packs a rather similar specs sheet except for the imaging department.
Right off the bat, the new TCL 408 packs a 6.6” IPS LCD display which features a HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate as well as an 8 megapixels front-facing camera. Over on the rear side, there’s also a single 50 megapixels camera to help with photography.
Under the hood, the TCL 408 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 chipset which will be paired with 4GB RAM along with 64GB onboard storage that support further expansion via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a respectable 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 10W wired charging. Other than that, it also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and will be shipped with TCL UI 4.0 based on Android 12 OS.
For those who’re interested, the TCL 408 is available in both Black and Blue colorways, and will be priced at just 9,990 RUB ($154) in the Russian market.
