Official: Vivo T1 5G to Launch in Global Market on February 9

Back in October 2021, Vivo announced the Vivo T1 and Vivo T1x as its first T-series of smartphones in China. Recent reports claimed that the Chinese manufacturer will be bringing its T-lineup to other markets outside China. Today, the Indian division of the brand confirmed that it will be launching the Vivo T1 5G smartphone on Feb. 9 in India.

The landing page of the Vivo T1 5G is now live on Flipkart and Vivo India’s website. The silhouette of the phone suggests that it could be the same T1 handset that was released in China.

In the coming days, Vivo will be confirming details like the processor, screen, turbo cooling technology, design, and cameras on the microsites of the phone. The T1 series is expected to rival other upcoming mid-range phones such as OnePlus Nord CE 2, Redmi Note 11 series, and Realme 9 Pro lineup in India. The company claims that it will be the fast smartphone in its segment in India.

Vivo T1 5G Specifications

The Vivo T1 5G has a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display that offers a punch-hole design. It supports a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on Android 11 OS and FunTouchOS UI. The device has a 16-megapixel camera for capturing selfies and a 64-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit.

The Snapdragon 778G powered T1 is equipped with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It may house a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. For security, it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The handset was introduced with a starting price of 2199 Yuan ($346) in China.
