Vivo launches the all-new T1 series smartphones

Vivo has officially announced the brand new T1 series smartphones that are targeted towards the entry-level to mid-range segment of the smartphone market. As expected, a total of two different models were introduced including the Vivo T1 and T1x. Without further ado, let’s check out what the new devices have in store for us!

Vivo T1

Starting with the higher-end model among the two, we have the Vivo T1 which features a 6.67” LCD display that brings along a FHD+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels selfie camera housed within it’s central hole-punch cutout.

On the rear side of the phone, it sports a humongous rectangular-shaped camera module which is home to a triple-cam system lead by a 64 megapixels main camera. As for the other two cameras, they include an 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera and a 2 megapixels macro camera.

The Vivo T1x is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 778G chipset just like the recently announced Realme Q3s. This will be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department.

To keep it’s lights on, the phone draws power from a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast-charging support which is able to charge a completely flat battery from 0 to 70% in merely 38 minutes. Expectedly, the phone will be shipped with OriginOS 1.0 based on Android 11 out of the box.

Pricing-wise, the Vivo T1 will set you back by 2,199 Yuan (US$344), 2,399 Yuan (US$375) and 2,599 Yuan (US$406) respectively for it’s 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB variants.

Vivo T1x

Coming to the more affordable model, the Vivo T1x features a slightly smaller 6.58” LCD display which retains the same FHD+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels front-facing camera.

Vivo T1x Color Options

Unlike the Vivo T1, the T1x has a redesigned rear camera module which houses a dual-cam setup comprising of a 64 megapixels main camera as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera for close-up shots. More specifically, it loses the 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens that was found in the Vivo V1.

Under the hood, the Vivo V1x is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset which was also adopted in the new iQOO Z1x. In the memory department, it features up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage.

Interestingly, the Vivo Z1x also keeps the same 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast-charging support. In the Chinese market, the Vivo Z1x is priced at 1,699 Yuan (US$266), 1,799 Yuan (US$281) and 1,999 Yuan (US$313) respectively for it’s 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variants.
