Official: Vivo V23 series arrives with dual selfie cameras & super fast charging!

As scheduled, Vivo has officially unveiled it’s brand new V23 series lineup during an official launch event in India. These devices will succeed last year’s Vivo V21 (Review) and V21 Pro which had garnered huge popularity in the Asian markets. Without further ado, let’s check out what the new devices have in store for us!

Vivo V23 Pro

Starting with the higher-end model, the new Vivo V23 Pro builds around a vibrant 6.56” AMOLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. Just like it’s predecessor, the phone features a dual selfie camera comprising of a 50 megapixels main unit with eye autofocus as well as an 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera to help with group selfies.

At the back, the phone features a color-changing Fluorite AG Glass which changes colors for several minutes when exposed to direct sunlight. It also has a rectangular camera unit which houses a triple-camera setup comprising of a 108 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera for close-up.

Under the hood, the Vivo V23 Pro is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset which features up to 12GB RAM and 256GB built-in storage in the memory department. Likewise, it’s also equipped with a respectable 4,300mAh battery with 44W fast-charging support.

On the software side of things, the Vivo V23 series smartphones are the first from the company to ship with the new FuntouchOS 12 based on Android 12 OS. It’s available in two different colors such as Stardust Black and Sunshine Gold. Those who’re interested in the phone can purchase the phone at INR38,990 (US$520) and INR43,990 (US$590) respectively for it’s 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB variants.

Coming to the Vivo V23, it comes with a slightly smaller 6.44” AMOLED display which retains the same FHD+ screen resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. Similarly, it also keeps the same 50MP+8MP front-facing cameras for selfie.

Vivo V23 5G Stardust Black

With regards to it’s rear camera units, the Vivo V23 swaps the 108 megapixels main camera on the V23 Pro for a slightly toned-down 50 megapixels camera. Other than that, we’ll be greeted by the same 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro cameras.

At the helm, the Vivo V23 opted for a less impressive MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. It’s fitted with a 4,200mAh battery which sports the same 44W charging speed.

Just like the Vivo V23 Pro, the vanilla model is offered in both Stardust Black and Sunshine Gold colorways as well. It will be priced more affordable at just INR29,990 (US$400) and INR34,900 (US$470) respectively for it’s 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB trims.
