Besides launching the new Vivo V25 series smartphones, Vivo has also introduced a new entry-level smartphone known as the Vivo Y22s in the Vietnamese market which will be succeeding last year’s Y21s smartphone.
The new model features a 6.55” IPS LCD display with HD+ screen resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. It also adopts the usual waterdrop-notch design to accommodate an 8 megapixels front-facing camera which handles selfies and video calls on the device.
Over at the back, the phone sports a large square-shaped camera module that houses a trio of rear-facing cameras which include a 50 megapixels main camera and a pair of 2 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y22s will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 680 chipset which will be coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card.
The device draws power from a respectable 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 18W fast-charging. Software-wise, it’ll be shipped with a custom FuntouchOS 12 based on Android 12 OS.
Those who’re interested can pick the phone from two different colors such as Starlit Blue and Summer Cyan. It’ll be priced at 5,990,000 VND ($256) for the 8GB+128GB trim in the Vietnamese market.
