OnePlus is one of the brands that’s gearing up to launch a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-powered flagship phone in China. The brand has hinted that it will announce the OnePlus 13 equipped with the new chip in October. Rumors surrounding the device have claimed that it will be sporting a renewed rear design. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station shared the following image to share some details about the OP13’s design. He also shared some information about the device’s camera features.
OnePlus 13 design
According to the tipster, the above image showcases the OnePlus 13 in a protective case. The image mainly focuses on the renewed camera arrangement and sensors. It highlights the significant benefits of this generation’s periscope structure, which resembles the tetra-prism periscope telephoto lens found in the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
The leaker added that the OnePlus 13 features a telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and a slightly larger sensor, and despite these enhancements, the overall camera module is more compact. The tipster finds it very exciting that the OnePlus 13 will directly copy the Oppo Find X8’s image quality and algorithms.
Previous leaks indicate that the OnePlus 13’s rear camera setup will feature a 50-megapixel LYT-808 camera with OIS support. A pair of LYT-600 cameras will accompany the primary snapper to capture ultra-wide and periscope telephoto shots.
It appears that the OnePlus 13 will continue to feature a round camera module. Unlike previous generation models, the OnePlus 13 will not fuse the camera module with the device’s edge.
The OP13 is expected to launch by October end in China. It is likely to debut globally in January 2025.
