Last year, OnePlus had discontinued the Snapdragon 820 powered OnePlus 3 smartphone that had launched in June to introduce Snapdragon 821 powered OnePlus 3T in November. Since the OnePlus 5 has gone out of stock in the U.S. and is available in limited quantities in various markets of the world, speculations are rife that the Chinese manufacturer will launch OnePlus 5T soon.
The OnePlus 5T may not arrive with an upgraded chipset, but it is expected to arrive with some new features. Rumors that have surfaced from China claim that the OnePlus 5T will be equipped with an 18:9 screen that will be coupled with very slim bezels and high screen-to-body ratio. The screen is expected to support a FHD+ resolution of 2,060 x 1,080 pixels.
It is also speculated to arrive with rear-mounted fingerprint reader. The smartphone is also speculated to arrive with facial unlock feature. The handset is also expected to retain the 3.5mm audio jack. It may feature the same dual camera system that is available on the OnePlus 5.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the alleged OnePlus 5T with 64 GB storage is expected to carry a price tag of $520. On the other hand, the 128 GB model is speculated to be priced at $580.
