OnePlus 8 series will be announced on April 14. For China, there will be a dedicated launch event on April 16. Today, the company officially confirmed that the sales of the OnePlus 8 series will start on April 17 at 10AM (local time).
OnePlus has started with the reservations of the OnePlus 8 series through its official online store, Jingdong Mall and Tmall. The listings on each of these sites have the key specs of the OnePlus 8 series mentioned.
OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro Specifications
The OnePlus 8 is expected to house a 6.55-inch AMOLED display that offers full HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. On the other side, the OnePlus 8 Pro will arrive with a larger 6.78-inch AMOLED display that delivers quad HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The punch-hole displays will be integrated with in-screen fingerprint scanners.
The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro are expected to come in 128 GB and 256 GB of storage. Both storage versions of the OnePlus 8 will have 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to come in 8 GB and 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM variants. The Snapdragon 865 mobile platform will power both devices.
The OnePlus 8 may house a 4,310mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. The OnePlus 8 Pro will also support same fast charging for its 4,500mAh battery. The Pro model will also come with 30W wireless charging and 3W reverse wireless charging support.
The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro models will have 16-megapixel frontal shooters with EIS support. The Pro model will come with 48-megapixel Sony IMX689 + 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 (ultrawide) + 8-megapixel telephoto + color filter quad camera setup. The OnePlus 8 will have 48-megapixel (Sony IMX586) + 16-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera system. The OnePlus 8 series will be costing less than $1,000.
