OnePlus will be soon announcing the OnePlus 8T as an upgraded version of the OnePlus 8. It is officially confirmed that the device will not be accompanied by a Pro model. Ahead of the Oct. 14 announcement, reliable tipster @OnLeaks has shared the CAD renders of the OnePlus 8T. The renders reveal that the smartphone will be sporting a refresh rear design.
The OnePlus 8 had arrived with a punch-hole display and it was fitted with a vertical camera setup placed at the upper half of its back. The CAD renders of the OnePlus 8T shows that it retains the punch-hole display design, but its rear is equipped with a rectangle-shaped camera module.
Another tipster revealed that OnePlus 8T’s quad camera system comprises of a Sony IMX586 48-megapixel main camera with OIS and EIS support, a 116-megapixel 16-megapixel ultrawide lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 5-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The frontside of the OnePlus 8T is fitted with a Sony IMX471 16-megapixel selfie camera.
The OnePlus 8T measures 162.8 x 75.5 x 8.4mm and in comparison, the OnePlus 8 had 160.2 x 72.9 x 8mm dimensions. At the camera hump, the thickness of the OnePlus 8T increases to 9.3mm. The phone houses a 6.55-inch S-AMOLED full HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate support.
The Snapdragon 865 chipset powers the phone. It may hit the markets in variants such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. It may house a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. The OxygenOS 11 based Android 11 OS will come preloaded on the smartphone.
