OnePlus 8T CAD Renders Appear to Reveal Refresh Rear Camera Design

OnePlus will be soon announcing the OnePlus 8T as an upgraded version of the OnePlus 8. It is officially confirmed that the device will not be accompanied by a Pro model. Ahead of the Oct. 14 announcement, reliable tipster @OnLeaks has shared the CAD renders of the OnePlus 8T. The renders reveal that the smartphone will be sporting a refresh rear design.

The OnePlus 8 had arrived with a punch-hole display and it was fitted with a vertical camera setup placed at the upper half of its back. The CAD renders of the OnePlus 8T shows that it retains the punch-hole display design, but its rear is equipped with a rectangle-shaped camera module.

Another tipster revealed that OnePlus 8T’s quad camera system comprises of a Sony IMX586 48-megapixel main camera with OIS and EIS support, a 116-megapixel 16-megapixel ultrawide lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 5-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The frontside of the OnePlus 8T is fitted with a Sony IMX471 16-megapixel selfie camera.

The OnePlus 8T measures 162.8 x 75.5 x 8.4mm and in comparison, the OnePlus 8 had 160.2 x 72.9 x 8mm dimensions. At the camera hump, the thickness of the OnePlus 8T increases to 9.3mm. The phone houses a 6.55-inch S-AMOLED full HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate support.

The Snapdragon 865 chipset powers the phone. It may hit the markets in variants such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. It may house a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. The OxygenOS 11 based Android 11 OS will come preloaded on the smartphone.
