OnePlus announced the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro earlier this year, and the rumor mill has started speculating on the arrival of the upcoming OnePlus 9T. A tipster has shared new information about the upcoming OnePlus flagship.
In June, OnePlus revealed that it will deepen its integration with OPPO. While the OnePlus brand will continue to function independently, its research and development (R&D) arm will merge with OPPO. Later, OnePlus also mentioned that it will continue to develop OxygenOS.
OnePlus announced the OnePlus 9 series of smartphones in March this year. While it shipped with OxygenOS in global market, it came with ColorOS instead of HydrogenOS in China. Fresh information shared by a tipster reveals that the OnePlus 9T will also come with ColorOS 11. He hasn’t mentioned clearly whether he is talking about global or Chinese variant. Probably, he could be talking about the variant heading to China.
He mentioned that the OnePlus 9T will be sporting a quad-camera system led by a 108-megapixel. He also added that company will continue to offer Hasselblad camera optimizations on the OnePlus 9T.
Rumors claim that the company will not be launching the OnePlus 9T Pro model. As far as the launch date is concerned, the 9T is expected to go official in Q3 this year. It appears that It may arrive earlier than its predecessor, which debuted in October last year.
Other reports have revealed that the OnePlus 9T will be equipped with a Samsung E4 AMOLED LTPO display that produces an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. While Qualcomm has announced a new flagship chip called the Snapdragon 888+, the OnePlus 9T may arrive with the Snapdragon 888 SoC.
