OnePlus announces new software update policy for it’s devices

OnePlus has announced a new software update policy that will affect it’s flagship models, as well as the respective ”T”, ”R” and Nord series devices.

Based on the new software update policy, the company’s flagship line, starting with the OnePlus 8 series devices (including ”T” & ”R” series phones like OnePlus 8T & OnePlus 9R) will be able to receive three major Android OS update, as well as four years security updates.

As for the company’s Nord and Nord CE devices, they will share the same software update policy as older flagship series devices that were launched before the OnePlus 8 series smartphones. These devices will get two major Android OS update, as well as three years security updates.

Last but not the least, the OnePlus Nord N series devices like the OnePlus Nord N10 5G, OnePlus Nord N100 and OnePlus Nord N200 5G will be treated with one major Android OS update, as well as three years security updates.
