OnePlus Ace 2, OnePlus 12 display details leak reveals BOE supplied screens

The OnePlus Ace 2 is set to launch on August 16 in China. Soon after its launch, the company is expected to focus on the OnePlus 12, which may debut in December this year in the home market. According to new leaks, both devices are expected to feature display panels supplied by China-based BOE display manufacturer.

According to a Chinese tipster, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will be the world’s first smartphone to feature the BOE Q9+ display panel. This is an enhanced version of the BOE panel that has been previously seen on the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro. The tipster claimed that the Q9+ is a better display panel than Samsung’s E6 screen.

According to DCS, the BOE Q9+ will offer a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. It can also offer a peak brightness of 1,600 nits and wet hand touch support.

The OnePlus 12, on the other hand, will be equipped with the BOE Q10 display. It will offer a 2K resolution and the same high-frequency PWM dimming.

In a separate Weibo post, DCS talked about the battery and charging combinations of upcoming smartphones, such as 5,000mAh + 150W, 5,400mAh + 100W + 50W (wireless), and 5,500mAh + 100W. The first two models appear to be the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro and OnePlus 12, respectively. The third could also be a OnePlus device. Hence, it is being said that it could be the successor of the OnePlus Ace 2V, which was announced earlier this year.
