OnePlus Ace 2 debuted in February in China. At that time, it was made available in black and silver color options. Today, the company confirmed the arrival of a new red variant of the device. The special color variant will be available for purchase starting 7 pm (local time) on April 17.
The OnePlus Ace 2 special Lava Red variant will come equipped with vegan leather on the back. The device will be available in 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage configuration only. The regular 16GB+512GB variant of the OnePlus Ace 2 is priced at 3,099 Yuan. It remains to be seen whether the upcoming special edition also carries the same price.
OnePlus Ace 2 Specifications
The OnePlus Ace 2 houses a 6.74-inch AMOLED display that offers a 1240 x 2772 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It runs on ColorOS 13-based Android 13 OS.
The Ace 2 has a 16-megapixel camera on the front. Its back panel has an OIS-assisted 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The device is packed with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 100W charging.
The Ace 2 comes with other features such as an under-display fingerprint scanner, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, an IR blaster, and dual stereo speakers. For those who don’t know, the OnePlus Ace 2 has been rebranded as the OnePlus 11R in the Indian market.
