OnePlus has recently launched the OnePlus 12 flagship phone in the Chinese market. There are reports that the brand will also unveil a sub-flagship phone dubbed the OnePlus Ace 3 in the Chinese market soon. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station released a Weibo post to reveal the color options and additional information about the Ace 3.
According to the tipster, the OnePlus Ace 3 will have a glass back and a metallic frame, indicating a sturdy build. The leaker said that it can be said based on the engineering prototype of the device that it will be available in shades, such as grey, pink, and blue.
The tipster added that the OnePlus Ace 3 will have a 6.78-inch curved-edge BOE X1 8T LTPO panel, which appears to be the same screen that is available on the Realme GT 5 Pro. The screen will offer a 1.5K resolution of 2780 x 1264 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It further states that the Ace 3’s screen will also offer a 2160Hz PWM dimming, a global peak brightness of 1600 nits, and a local peak brightness of 4500 nits.
As per other reports, the OnePlus Ace 3 will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It is likely to pack a 5,500mAh battery with 100W charging. While the OP12 supports wireless charging, the Ace 3 will reportedly lack support for it.
The OnePlus Ace 3 is likely to feature a 16-megapixel front camera. Its rear camera setup may feature an OIS-enabled Sony IMX890 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. According to reports, the same device will launch as the OnePlus 12R in the global market on Jan. 23.
