OnePlus will unveil the OnePlus 12 featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset tomorrow in China. OnePlus has already confirmed the existence of the OnePlus Ace 3, but it is not expected to launch along with OP12. As per a new leak, the next-generation Ace model will be announced this month in China.
The OnePlus 12R is all set to launch with the OnePlus 12 on Jan. 23 globally. While the OP12 will have the same name in the global and Chinese markets, the 12R will sell as an Ace-branded device in the Chinese market. Reports have revealed that it will be called the OnePlus Ace 3.
As per a new Weibo post by tipster WHYLAB, the OnePlus Ace 3 will be announced this month in China. There is a possibility that the device will be unveiled by the end of this month. Here is a look at the rumored specifications of the device.
OnePlus Ace 3 / 12R specifcations (rumored)
The OnePlus 12R is expected to sport a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 3,000 nits of brightness. For security, it will have an under-display fingerprint scanner and run on OxygenOS 14, based on Android 14.
It will feature a 16-megapixel front camera. On the back, it will be equipped with a 50-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 32-megapixel (telephoto, 2x optical zoom) triple camera setup.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, paired with up to 16 GB of RAM, up to 512 GB of storage, and a 5,500mAh battery that supports 100W charging. Notably, the Ace 3 will also arrive with an in-screen fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, and an IR blaster, enhancing its overall functionality. It will compete with the likes of the Realme GT 5, the Redmi K70, and the upcoming iQOO Neo 9 , which are also equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
