In January, OnePlus launched the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro in China. Recent reports have revealed that the brand is working on two new Ace series phones, both of which are expected to launch in May in China. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station shared the key specifications of one of the devices and claimed that it could be called the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition when it hits the market.
OnePlus Ace 5 key specifications
According to the leak, the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition will feature a 6.77-inch flat LTPS OLED panel and will be powered by the upcoming Dimensity 9400e chipset. It is speculated that the D9400e will be a rebranded version of the existing Dimensity 9300 Plus SoC.
On the front, it will feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera and is said to feature a 50-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera setup on the back. The leak also mentions other features, such as an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor and a plastic middle frame.
The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition will be touted as a high-performance smartphone equipped with a flat display. While the leak did not reveal the battery size, its large battery will be one of its major features.
As per previous leaks, the device will pack a massive 7,000mAh battery and may support 80W fast charging. Previous reports claimed that the device would be called the OnePlus Ace 5V. However, it now appears that the Ace 5 Racing Edition could be its final moniker.
