After teasing the arrival of the new Ace 5 series of smartphones in China, OnePlus has finally confirmed its launch date. The Ace 5 Ultra and Ace 5 Racing Edition are set to debut on May 27 in China. Before the launch, both phones have been made available for pre-orders through official retailer platforms. Here’s a look at the official details that have emerged through the official listings.
OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra, Racing Edition variants, design
According to the brand, the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra will arrive in five variants: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB storage. The handset will be sold in shades like Breeze Blue, Titanium, and Phantom Black.
Reports have revealed that the Ace 5 Ultra will be powered by the Dimensity 9400 Plus. On the front, it will feature a 6.83-inch LTPS OLED panel that supports a 1.5K resolution. The device will also feature a 50-megapixel dual-camera system and a 7,000mAh battery with 100W charging. This phone may not be released in markets outside of China.
The Ace 5 Racing Edition will be available in four options: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+256GB, and 16GB+512GB. It will be offered in colours like Wilderness Green, White, and Rock Black.
The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition rumors have claimed that it wiill have a 6.77-inch LTPS OLED screen that supports a 1.5K resolution. Under the hood, the device will feature the Dimensity 9400e and a 7,000mAh battery with 80W charging. The device will be equipped with a 50-megapixel camera system. The Racing Edition’s tweaked version may likely launch as the OnePlus Nord 5 in markets outside of China.
