We’d already heard about the existence of the upcoming OPPO A series duo, known as the OPPO A74 4G and OPPO A74 5G thanks to recent leaks. Right now, the OPPO A74 5G has also been spotted in an official store listing although the device has yet to be made official.
According to the information published on the fresh listing, the OPPO A74 5G and A74 4G actually share more differences than what we’d earlier expected. Unlike the OPPO A74 4G which was previously revealed to sport an AMOLED display, the OPPO A74 5G settles for an LCD display with a slightly higher 90Hz refresh rate.
Similarly, the A74 5G was also confirmed to sport a quad-camera system instead of a triple-camera setup which we saw from the past renders. More specifically, the 5G variant seems to have an additional 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera on top of the 48 megapixels main camera and a pair of 2 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information.
Although the listing only mentioned that the A74 5G will be coming with a 5G chipset, but we do know from its recently Geekbench listing that the device is actually powered by a Snapdragon 480 chipset under the hood. This will be paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage in the memory department.
Other than that, the OPPO A74 5G is also listed with 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 18W fast-charging. As usual, the device ships with the latest ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11 out of the box. In terms of pricing, it’s priced at AU$449 (US$342) for its 6GB+128GB model.
