OPPO has officially announced a new A series smartphone in it’s domestic market known as the OPPO A96 5G which appears to be targeted towards the mid-range segment of the smartphone market.
The OPPO A96 5G features a 6.43” AMOLED display that comes with a FHD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner. Other than that, there’s also a 16 megapixels front-facing camera housed within the a punch-hole cutout on the upper left corner of the screen.
On the rear side of the phone, the OPPO A96 5G sports a rectangular-shaped camera island which play host to a dual-cam setup comprising of a 48 megapixels main camera and a 2 megapixels auxiliary unit.
Under the hood, the OPPO A96 5G is among the first batch of phone to be powered by the new Snapdragon 695 chipset with 8GB RAM as well as an ample 256GB onboard storage in the memory department.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a respectable 4,500mAh battery which carries support for 33W fast-charging. The device as usual, will be shipped with ColorOS 12 based on Android 11 out of the box.
