As scheduled, OPPO has finally announced the feverishly-anticipated OPPO Ace2 flagship during an online launch event today. Unlike the recently announced OPPO Find X2 series, the OPPO Ace2 is a slightly more affordable option which lacks the advance camera system.
OPPO Ace2 Specifications
The OPPO Ace2 features a 6.5-inches FHD + OLED display which has a buttery-smooth 90Hz screen refresh rate. Moreover, the device also offers an impressive 180Hz touch sampling rate on its front display. As expected, it will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor as well.
Over on its flip-side, the device has a sleek dual-curved back panel which is affixed with a circular camera module. This module is home to a quad-camera setup that consists of a 48 megapixels main shooter, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels portrait lens.
Under the hood, the OPPO Ace2 is driven by the latest Snapdragon 865 platform capable of supporting both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes. This will be coupled with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 flash storage.
This time round, the OPPO Ace2 also comes with loads of gaming-centric features which aim to provide an immersive gaming experience for its users. This include the presence of a 4D cooling technology, “4D Vibration” motor for haptic feedback, as well as dual stereo speakers.
To keep its lights on, there is a massive 4,000mAh battery which supports the latest 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast-charging technology. Besides that, it also supports 40W AirVOOC wireless charging which could bring the device from 0 to 100% within a short span of just 56 minutes. Moreover, there is also 10W reverse charging support as well.
On the software-side, the device runs on the ColorOS 7 based on Android 10 OS. The OPPO Ace2 will be available in a total of 3 colorways including Purple, Black and Grey.

In China, the OPPO Ace2 will be priced at 3,999 Yuan, 4,399 Yuan and 4,599 Yuan respectively for its 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB models respectively.
