OPPO is reportedly working on the Find X6 series of smartphones. Since the Find X5 lineup was announced in February this year, the Find X6 series may go official around the same time in 2023. It appears that the rumored Find X6 and Find X6 Pro models may feature different Snapdragon 8-series chipsets.
The OPPO Find X5 series featured different chipsets. The Find X5 came with the older Snapdragon 888, whereas the Find X5 Pro was made available in Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Dimensity 9000 chipset variants. OPPO is likely to apply the same strategy to the Find X6 lineup.
According to a Chinese tipster, the Find X6 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. It seems likely because while OPPO’s rivals have launched Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 phones, it hasn’t launched a flagship smartphone featuring the same chip. As far as the Find X6 Pro is concerned, it may arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip onboard. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is yet to be unveiled. Qualcomm may unveil it in November this year.
Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has claimed that the Find X6 will come with support for 1.5K and 2K resolution. He probably means to say that the Find X6’s screen will support a 1.5K resolution, whereas the Find X6 Pro’s display will offer a 2K resolution.
Other reports have claimed that the Find X6 Pro will be equipped with a 1-inch camera sensor. To recall, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, which debuted in August, is the world’s first phone to feature a 1-inch camera sensor. The Xiaomi flagship features a 1-inch Sony IMX989 camera sensor. it is unclear whether the same snapper will be available on the Find X6 Pro.
