Last year, OPPO launched the OPPO K3 smartphone in May, and in October, it skipped the K4 moniker and launched the next K-series phone as OPPO K5. A Chinese tipster has revealed the key specifications of the upcoming K-series smartphone. The leak reveals that the next K-series phone will be called OPPO K7 5G.
According to the leak, the OPPO K7 5G will be the first K-series phone to arrive with 5G support. The handset is expected to feature SM7250 chipset i.e. the 5G-ready Snapdragon 765G SoC.
The handset will be equipped with a 6.4-inch OLED panel with waterdrop notch. It will offer Full HD+ resolution and a conventional refresh rate of 60Hz. Hence, it appears that the phone could be retaining the same 6.4-inch AMOLED panel that was made available on the OPPO K5 smartphone.
The rear side of the OPPO K7 5G will be fitted with a vertical quad-camera setup led by a 48-megapixel camera. In comparison, the OPPO K5 had a 64-megapixel quad camera setup. There is no word on the front camera of the smartphone. The device will be housing a 4,025mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.
It appears that the only major upgrade on the OPPO K7 5G is the inclusion of a 5G-ready chipset. Hopefully, the other details of the phone appear in the coming days. There is no word on the launch date of the device. There is a possibility that the smartphone may go official in a month or two.
