OPPO K9 5G Confirmed to Arrive with Snapdragon 768G

OPPO will be announcing the OPPO K9 5G smartphone on May 6 in China. It is speculated that the PEXM00 smartphone, which was certified by TENAA and 3C authorities of China in the recent past will be debuting as the OPPO K9 5G in the home market. There have been conflicting reports about the chipset that powers the smartphone. Reports have claimed that it could be powered by the Snapdragon 765G or 768G SoC. Now, the company has confirmed that it will be driven by the Snapdragon 768G mobile platform.

The Snapdragon 768G that offers maximum clocking speeds of 2.8GHz is an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 765G chip. The other features that are officially confirmed for the smartphone include a 64-megapixel main lens, liquid cooling technology, and 65W charging.

The OPPO K9 5G is already listed on Chinese retailer sites for pre-orders. The listings have revealed that it will be arriving in variants such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. It will be available in black and gradient blue colors.

Past reports have revealed that it will be arriving with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. Since the company is marketing the device as a gaming-friendly device, it may carry support for a refresh rate. The display is integrated with a fingerprint sensor.

The OPPO K9 5G has a front-facing camera of 32-megapixel and its rear panel has a 64-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel lens. The handset draws power from a 2,100mAh dual-cell battery. Lastly, it measures 159.1 x 73.4 x 7.9mm and weighs 172 grams.
