After announcing the OPPO Reno 2 smartphone in India at the end of the previous month, OPPO has unveiled the same phone in China today. The handset has arrived in China with a price tag of 2,999 Yuan ($420). The smartphone is scheduled to go on sale in the home market on Sept. 12. It is now currently up for reservations. The handset can be purchased in three colors like Ocean Blue, Deep Sea Black and Mist Pink.
OPPO Reno 2 Specifications and Features
The OPPO Reno 2 comes with a large-sized 6.5-inch display that offers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The notch-less display offers an aspect ratio of 20:9. The display of the phone is protected by Gorilla Glass 6.
In China, the Reno 2 comes with 128 GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM. The 8nm Snapdragon 730G with 2.2GHz octa-core processor powers the smartphone. There is a hybrid SIM slot for supporting a microSD card for additional storage.
The rear shell of the phone has OIS and EIS assisted 48-megapixel + 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad camera system. The top edge of the phone hides an LED flash assisted 16-megapixel lens in a pop-up shark-fin module. The 4,000mAh battery of the smartphone supports 20W VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge. The handset also features an in-display fingerprint scanner. At the launch of Reno 2, the company confirmed that it will be debuting Reno Ace flagship phone in October.
