OPPO Reno Ace 2 is Coming With 40W Wireless Charging

OPPO Reno Ace 2 smartphone will go official in the next month. It will be debuting as the successor for the Reno Ace phone that went official in October in China. Ahead of April launch, the Chinese firm is now gradually revealing some of the features of the Reno Ace 2. The chief scientist of OPPO VOOC Flash Charge division confirmed that the Reno Ace 2 will come with 40W wireless charging.

The Huawei P40 Pro Plus phone that went official yesterday is equipped with world’s fastest wireless charging technology. As revealed today, the Reno Ace 2 will support the same 40W fast wireless charging technology. However, the size of its battery is not known yet.

Yesterday, a new OPPO 5G phone with model number PDHM00 was spotted with a 65W fast charger. Since the original Reno Ace came with 65W rapid charging technology, it is believed that the PDHM00 phone could be the upcoming Reno Ace 2 smartphone.

Hence, it appears that the Reno Ace 2 could be equipped with a 65W fast charging support as well as 40W fast wireless charging technology. The PDHM00 phone was previously spotted at the Wi-Fi Alliance database with Android 10 OS and Wi-Fi 802.11ac support.

The Reno Ace 2 will be driven by the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. A leaked photo of the rear side of the phone had reveled that it will be coming with a round-shaped camera setup. The other details of the phone are currently under the wraps. Hopefully, more details on the Reno Ace 2 will appear in the near future.
