OPPO Reno6 series heads to the global market

After making their official debut in the Chinese market back in May, the OPPO Reno6 series smartphones has finally made their way to the global market with India being their first destination.

As expected, a total of two models were introduced including the OPPO Reno6 5G and OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G. The higher-end OPPO Reno6 Pro+ was however, omitted from the launch.

Starting with the OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G, the device sports a 6.55” OLED display with FHD+ screen resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Around the back of the phone, it features a quad-camera system comprising of a 64 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels monochrome lens. Upfront, it features the same 32 megapixels camera for selfie and video call.

Under the hood, the OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset which will be coupled with 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department.

To keep it’s light on, the OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G draws power from a 4,500mAh battery with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 flash charging support. On the software-side, the device ships with ColorOS 11.3 based on Android 11 out of the box.

In the Indian market, the OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G is priced at INR39,990 (US$536) for it’s sole 12GB+256GB variant.

Coming to the vanilla OPPO Reno6 5G, the device comes with a slightly smaller 6.43” AMOLED display with FHD+ screen resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. It do retains the in-display fingerprint scanner, but lacks support for HDR10+.

On the imaging-side, it brings along a triple-camera setup at the back consisting of a 64 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera. Upfront, it gets the same 32 megapixels shooter.

At the helm, the phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset alongside up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department. It’s fitted with a slightly toned-down 4,300mAh battery, but keeps the 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 flash charging support.

In terms of pricing, the OPPO Reno6 5G is priced at INR29,990 for it’s 8GB+128GB variant in the Indian market.
