OPPO is known for launching special New Year editions of its Reno series of smartphones. In December 2020, the company announced the Reno5 Pro New Year Edition in an attractive red hue. Today, the Chinese manufacturer confirmed the arrival of the Reno7 New Year Edition. This special variant comes in a Red Velvet color.
The front design of the Reno7 New Year Edition is identical to its regular version. However, its rear shell has a velvety texture and a logo of a Tiger, which represents the forthcoming year 2022. In addition, the two camera rings of the Reno7 New Year Edition have golden embellishments.
OPPO Reno7 New Year Edition Price
The Reno7 New Year Edition, which comes in Red Velvet is listed in three configurations. The 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant is priced at 2,699 Yuan ($424), the 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage model costs 2,999 Yuan ($471), and the topmost 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage edition is listed for 3,299 Yuan ($518).
The company is yet to confirm the sale date of the Reno7 New Year Edition, which is likely to remain exclusive to the Chinese market. The handset is now up for reservations and its pre-orders are slated to start on Dec. 27. The regular Reno7 comes in black, blue, and gold colors.
OPPO Reno7 New Year Edition specifications
The OPPO Reno7 New Year Edition is packed with the same specs as its regular edition. It has a 6.43-inch AMOLED FHD+ 90Hz display, a 32-mgeapixel selfie camera, and a 64-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. For security, it has an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Snapdragon 778G powered Reno7 New Year Edition ships with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. The device comes with support for 60W fast charging for its 4,500mAh battery.
