OPPO Reno5 Pro New Year Edition goes on sale in China

During the OPPO Reno5 series launch event held earlier this month, OPPO had unveiled a special edition Reno5 Pro known as the OPPO Reno5 Pro New Year Edition that comes with a glittering Reddish hue at the back.

This special edition model will be available only in a sole 8GB+128GB memory configuration which will set you back with 3,399 Yuan (US$520). Other than its aesthetic differences, the rest of the specs remain similar as the regular variant.

As a quick recap, the OPPO Reno5 Pro features a 6.55-inches FHD+ AMOLED, curved display which brings along a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and a 32 megapixels selfie camera.

Moving on, photography on the Reno5 Pro will be handled by a quad camera system comprising of a 48 megapixels (1.7 aperture) primary shooter, 8 megapixels (f/2.2 aperture) ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) depth sensor.

To keep its lights on, the OPPO Reno5 Pro is fitted wit a slightly larger 4,350mAh battery which carries support for the company’s proprietary 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 flash charging solution. As usual, it will boot on the latest ColorOS 11 based on Android 11 out of the box.

At current stage, there’s no words on the official availability of the Reno5 Pro 5G in the global market even though the vanilla Reno5 4G will be heading to several Asian markets in the coming weeks.
